An awareness workshop at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University about blood types

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a workshop entitled (Blood groups), in which Prof. M. Jamila Kazem Abdel Hassan, Mrs. Suha Allawi Hussein and Assistant Agricultural Engineer Jinan Abdel Abbas

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of knowing blood types to avoid the risks of blood transfusion, testing blood types, knowing the RH factor, antibodies and antigens, interpreting blood type test results, and rare blood types.

The workshop recommended the need to raise awareness of the importance of knowing each person’s blood types to avoid the risks of blood transfusion. The blood of the donor and the recipient must be matched, and the donor must not be infected with viral hepatitis.
