Assistant lecturer Atiaf Sarhan published a scientific research in a prestigious international journal entitled (Preparation and characterization of copper nanoparticles by pulsed laser deposition)
Preparation and Characterization of Copper Nanoparticles by
PulsedLaser Deposition
It was published in the (Iraqi Journal of Applied Physics) IRAQI JOURNAL OF APPLIED PHYSICS
In this research, thin films of copper with a nanostructure were deposited on sheets of glass and silicon using the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique using an Nd:YAG laser that operates with a pulse energy of 480 mJ, a frequency of 6 Hz and 500 pulses. The XRD results showed clear peaks indicating plasmonic absorption at a wavelength of 220 nm. The presence of spherical particles dispersed in clusters was also detected. Their average sizes range from (66.2 to 90.7) nanometers
