The College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a memorial festival to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
Under the patronage and attendance of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kadhim Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, and under the slogan “Between Night Prayers and Martyrdom,” the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, in cooperation with the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Center of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Al-Ain Charitable Foundation, held a memorial festival to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
The festival opened with verses from the Holy Quran and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs, followed by the playing of the national anthem.
The goal of the festival is to commemorate this unique figure throughout history and how he has become a beacon to be emulated across different sects and religions, inspired by his famous saying, “People are of two types: either your brother in faith, or your equal in creation.”
A charity bazaar and a photo exhibition were also inaugurated. Finally, a group of orphaned children were honored and their teeth examined. And treat them in the college clinics, then distribute shields of thanks and appreciation
