A scientific workshop was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on biomaterials and their antimicrobial resistance.
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University held a scientific workshop on “Biomaterials and their Antimicrobial Resistance.” Biologist Saba Hamid Zidane lectured.
The workshop aimed to identify the types of biomaterials used in the medical field, study how microbes interact with biomaterials, identify the mechanisms of microbial resistance to these materials, and analyze the risks associated with sterilization failure or microbial resistance.
The workshop recommended the use of real models or images of biomaterials and to present the latest research in the field of antimicrobial nanomaterials.
