A training course was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on the relationship between fast food and pastries and changing the healthy diet and its impact on the natural bacteria in the mouth.
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled “The Relationship between Fast Food and Pastries and Changing the Healthy Diet and its Impact on the Natural Bacteria in the Mouth.” Presented by Asst. Dr. Amjad Kamel, Ms. Marwa Salman, Ms. Zahraa Rahim Abdul, and Ms. Faten Abdel Sattar and M.M. Zahraa Jawad
The course aimed to identify harmful foods and their relationship to oral health in particular and overall body health. It also focused on regulating the quantity and timing of these foods on a daily basis, and how these meals interact with main meals and their impact on the overall health regimen.
The course recommended that parents monitor children’s diet and ensure they are provided with a healthy diet. It also emphasized regular visits to the dentist. It was also important to reduce sugars, carbohydrates, and unhealthy fast food intake, especially between main meals, as much as possible.
