Assistant Professor Radwan Ali Katea, a faculty member at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University, contributed to publishing a joint scientific research paper in the Next Nanotechnology Open Access journal, published by Elsevier, indexed in Scopus. The paper was titled “Antibacterial, Antioxidant, and Anticancer Activity of Silver Nanoparticles Synthesized Using an Aqueous Extract of the Mexican Shrimp Plant.”
The research addressed the green manufacturing of silver nanoparticles using the Mexican Shrimp Plant as a reductant and stabilizer to convert metallic silver into nanosilver. Their activity against certain bacteria, antioxidants, and cancer cells was then tested.
