A workshop on classification in living organisms was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry organized a scientific workshop entitled “Classification in Living Organisms.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Warqaa Mohammed.

The workshop aimed to understand the mechanism by which living organisms are organized, named, and classified into hierarchical groups based on their shared characteristics and evolutionary relationships. This system aims to understand the immense diversity of life on Earth and facilitate its study.

The workshop recommended the necessity of facilitating studies that help scientists and researchers study and identify living organisms in a systematic and organized manner, as well as understand evolutionary relationships and clarify how different living organisms are related to each other by tracing their evolutionary history.
