The College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University held the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day Festival.

 

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University, under the slogan “Entrepreneurship Initiative,” held the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day Festival on March 4, 2026. The festival focused on entrepreneurship and the Iraqi Shield Award for Leadership and Excellence. The festival opened with a moment of silence and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyr Ali Khamenei. This was followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then another recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyrs, and the playing of the national anthem. The first session, which focused on dental robotics, was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. [Name missing]. Alaa Ta’ima Abdul Kadhim highlighted the importance of dental robots, how to identify them, and the ethical considerations and limitations of their use. The festival also included a special session showcasing student stories and successes, including that of graduate dentist Muntadhar Osama Ahmed, founder of Dentaversa Medical Academy. He shared how his journey to success began with a simple idea. Third-year student Osama Sami then presented a similar success story, focusing on the concept of entrepreneurship from a university student’s perspective and how a simple classroom idea can be transformed into a real, impactful initiative. He shared his personal experience as a student at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, and how he and his classmates, as a student team, organized a specialized workshop on digital dentistry at the American University in Baghdad through planning, partnership building, and taking responsibility. Following this, the Women’s Affairs Officer participated in one of the sessions, highlighting the role of successful women in the medical field and emphasizing that Iraqi women are prime examples of leadership.
