A workshop at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University addressed the effect of steroids on laboratory tests for bodybuilders
\nUnder the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a workshop entitled (The effect of steroids on laboratory tests for bodybuilders) presented by Dr. Durar Kamel Jabbar
\nThe workshop aimed to identify sports steroids, which are hormones and substances produced naturally in the body and stimulate the building and development of its tissues, but their users supply their bodies with them from an external source, through injections, for example, and at a very high concentration, thinking that they are thereby stimulating the building of their muscles. Although some steroids may increase muscle size and strength, the price of this is high. The workshop recommended the necessity of abandoning sports steroids as they carry major health risks to the body such as infertility, increased risk of liver diseases and tumors, acne, high blood pressure, growth problems, increased risk of some types of cancer, and others that may lead to death.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
