A training course was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on the uses of fluoride in dentistry.
\nUnder the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kallaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled “The Uses of Fluoride in Dentistry.” The course was presented by Asst. M. Faten Abdul Sattar Jaber and Asst. M. Rania Falah Kazem, trainee dentist Hanin Hisham Abboudi, and trainee dentist Zainab Abdul Baqi Abdul Jalil.
\nThe course aimed to clarify the therapeutic and preventive role of fluoride compounds in dentistry, and to explain its uses in reducing tooth decay, strengthening enamel structure, and contributing to improving overall oral and dental health. It focused on application methods (topical\/systemic) and safe doses.
\nThe course recommended encouraging the use of topical fluoride (toothpastes, gels, mouthwash) as part of the daily oral care routine, adhering to the recommended doses to avoid dental fluorosis, especially in children. It also recommended introducing school preventive programs that include group fluoride applications (such as fluoride varnish), and increasing patient awareness of the importance of fluoride and its role in reducing tooth decay and improving dental health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
