\nMr. Zahraa Rahim Al-Zamili, a lecturer at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University, and a group of co-authors, published a scientific paper titled “Gingivitis: Isolation and Identification of Causative Bacteria and Their Relationship to Obesity in Diwaniyah Governorate” in the Journal Bulletin of Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery.
\nThe aim of the study was to verify the prevalence of bacterial isolates in patients with gingivitis and to study the relationship between gingivitis and obesity.
\nThe study demonstrated a clear relationship between gingivitis and obesity. The results indicate that the prevalence of bacteria is higher in obese patients with gingivitis.
