A workshop was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, on “Decision-Making Skills and a Photo Exhibition,” under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri.<\/p>\n
The workshop was supervised by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad. A workshop titled “Decision-Making Skills and Photo Exhibition” was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, under the slogan “From Mesopotamia… Ideas Launch… Your Idea is Iraqi… Iraq Innovates.” The workshop, part of the Leadership and Creativity Week Festival (2025), was presented by Dr. Baidaa Saleh, Dr. Lama Hafez, and Ms. Sara Hamid. The workshop aimed to differentiate between critical life decisions and routine ones, emphasizing the importance of analyzing decisions and studying their long-term positive and negative impacts before implementation. It also introduced participants to decision-making tools such as strengths and weaknesses analysis, distinguishing between important and urgent decisions, and avoiding executive paralysis by determining the appropriate time to stop considering a decision and begin making it. The workshop recommended adopting a “thoughtful thinking” approach for critical decisions and the necessity of separating quick, routine decisions from strategic ones. While we can rely on habit for daily matters, we should also activate a personal “decision journal” for review. Learning
\nTo transform decision-making into an innate skill, I recommend starting to write down major decisions in a special journal, including the reasons that led us to choose and the expected results. This habit allows the participant, after months, to review their thinking pattern and discover their recurring biases, which contributes to building conscious experience instead of repeating the same mistakes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
