A training course at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on the effect of saliva pH on the health of teeth and gums
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, a training course was conducted in the College of Dentistry entitled (The effect of the pH of saliva on the health of teeth and gums), attended by M. M. Radwan Ali Kate and M. M. Anwar Ali Moeen
The course aimed to explain what is meant by these reformers because they have a significant impact on oral health in general and teeth in particular. The course also includes clarifying the method of measuring the pH level in drinks that are used on a daily basis and its effect on changing the acidity of saliva, which in turn affects the percentage of calcium present in the teeth and gums.
The course recommended maintaining the health of teeth and gums by reducing drinks that contain acidic substances, and using a straw when drinking them to reduce the contact of their components with tooth enamel because acidic substances erode the layers of the teeth and reduce the percentage of calcium.
