Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled (Basics of primer design and investigation of single nucleotide polymorphisms using the allele-specific technique), in which everyone attended: M. Haider Kazem Abbas and m. Ali Salem, M.D. Rana Mishal Salem

The course aimed to learn to design primers and investigate single nucleotide polymorphisms using the allele-specific technique in the polymerase reaction.

The course recommends using available, easy and free programs to design primers and also using the allele-specific technique in the polymerase reaction to investigate polymorphism, as it is an easy, accurate and less expensive method than other techniques.
