An awareness seminar at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on electronic blackmail and its dangers to society
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Dentistry, in cooperation with the Community Police, held an awareness seminar entitled (Electronic Blackmail and its Dangers to Society), in which Lieutenant Colonel Abbas Bardan lectured and the seminar was managed by M.M. Nour Jalawi Jabbar
The seminar aimed to explain the nature of the crime of electronic blackmail and its effects on society and how the Penal Code deals with the crime and the penalties specified for this act. The seminar also recommended the necessity for students and citizens to be aware of the harms of electronic blackmail and its risks to the individual and the environment and to try to avoid it as much as possible, in addition to seeking the help of police stations to reduce these phenomena and restrict blackmailers
