Within the activities of the Global Leadership Week, a scientific workshop was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on children’s rights in Islam between the family and society
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a scientific workshop entitled (Children’s Rights in Islam between the Family and Society) presented by Ms. Janan Abdul Abbas
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to children’s rights in Islam, enhance the role of the family in caring for children’s rights, educate society about its responsibilities towards children, highlight the balance between children’s rights and duties, and build an educational environment that protects children’s rights and develops their capabilities
The workshop recommended the need to spread awareness of children’s rights through educational curricula, provide support to families to apply Islamic values in education, enhance the role of social institutions to protect children from violence and neglect, focus on the rights of children with special needs, and cooperate between the family and society to ensure a safe and stable environment For children
