A training course at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University addressed ways to address the legal and social effects of domestic violence and extortion issues
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, held a training course entitled (Ways to Address the Legal and Social Effects of Domestic Violence and Extortion Issues) presented by M.M. Nour Jalawi Jabbar and M.D. Bidaa Saleh
The course aimed to shed light on the seriousness of domestic violence and blackmail and their impact on individuals and society, and to understand the local and international laws and legislation that criminalize domestic violence and blackmail, and to provide legal means and procedures to support victims and help them obtain their rights
The course recommended the necessity of ensuring strict implementation of laws related to domestic violence and blackmail, and qualifying legal and social cadres to deal with these issues efficiently, facilitating reporting of cases of violence and blackmail, and ensuring the confidentiality of information
