An educational workshop on drugs and their effects on the individual and society was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yassiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry organized an educational workshop entitled “Drugs and Their Effects on the Individual and Society.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Baidaa Saleh and Ms. Shatha Kamel.

The workshop aimed to enhance students’ health and cognitive awareness regarding the physical, psychological, social, and economic effects of drug use, and to develop positive attitudes and behaviors that encourage students to avoid drug use and stay away from environments that promote it. The workshop recommended the necessity of including ongoing awareness programs within extracurricular activities, such as seminars, interactive workshops, lectures, and cultural competitions, and developing strategic partnerships between the university and the Ministries of Health and Interior, as well as specialized institutions for combating drugs.
