An awareness seminar was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, on the topic of “Integrated Diagnosis of Oral Lesions.” The seminar was held under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad.

The Student Activities Unit at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Department of Pathological Analysis at the College of Science, organized the seminar, which was titled “Integrated Diagnosis of Oral Lesions.” The seminar was opened by student Hussein Haider, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyrs. Student Zahraa Talib then gave a presentation on the clinical aspects of integrated diagnosis.

Following this, student Lamia from the Department of Pathological Analysis at the College of Science presented on the laboratory aspects of integrated diagnosis. In conclusion, awards of appreciation were presented to outstanding students.

The seminar aimed to highlight the most common oral lesions and their clinical diagnosis, clarify the role of oral biopsy in diagnosing various oral lesions, and introduce the laboratory procedures used in analyzing tissue samples.

The seminar concluded with several recommendations, including emphasizing the importance of early clinical examination of any abnormal oral lesion, the necessity of resorting to oral biopsy in suspicious cases to obtain an accurate diagnosis, and strengthening cooperation between dentists and diagnostic laboratories to improve diagnostic accuracy.
