A training course on hemoglobin testing was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry organized a training course entitled “Hemoglobin Testing.” The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Kadhim Abbas, Assistant Professor Suha Alawi Hussein, Assistant Professor Jamila Kadhim Abdul Hassan, and Lecturer Jinan Abdul Abbas.

The course aimed to measure hemoglobin levels in red blood cells to detect anemia or polycythemia, and to monitor chronic diseases and iron deficiency. It also explained how to collect blood samples, identify hemoglobin composition, and understand laboratory measurement methods and the interpretation of test results. The course recommended a complete blood count (CBC) to determine the type of anemia and to check vitamin B12, folic acid, and iron stores.
