A workshop on the fundamentals of infection control in dental clinics was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University.

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Infection Control in Dental Clinics.” The workshop was presented by dental trainees Zahraa Hassan Jassim, Fatima Ahmed Saheb, and Zainab Razzaq Abdullah. The workshop aimed to enhance dental students’ awareness of the importance of applying infection control principles within dental clinics, and to increase their commitment to occupational safety procedures and the protection of patients and medical staff. The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including emphasizing the continuous adherence to infection control procedures within teaching clinics, promoting a culture of occupational safety among dental students, and implementing correct procedures for sterilization, disinfection, and medical waste disposal.
