Training Course at the University of Al-Qadisiyah’s College of Dentistry on the Initial Management of Emergencies and Acute Conditions in Dental Clinics

The Continuing Education Unit at the University of Al-Qadisiyah’s College of Dentistry held a training course titled “Initial Management of Emergencies and Acute Conditions in Dental Clinics,” presented by dentists Zainab Abdul-Baqi Abdul-Jalil and Haneen Hisham Abboudi.
The course aimed to enhance dentists’ proficiency in the early recognition of emergencies and acute conditions encountered in the clinic, and to develop skills for their safe and effective assessment and initial management. It also sought to increase knowledge regarding modern principles of acute pain management and the selection of appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions based on the clinical situation.
The course recommended adopting a standardized protocol for handling medical and dental emergencies in dental clinics and ensuring the continuous availability and proper equipping of a comprehensive emergency kit, while verifying the validity of medications and supplies.
