Training Course on Basic Laboratory Skills for Blood Sample Collection at the College of Dentistry, University of Al-Qadisiyah

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, University of Al-Qadisiyah, held a training course titled “Basic Laboratory Skills for Blood Sample Collection,” conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Kadhim Abbas and Assistant Lecturer Jinan Abd Abbas.
The course aimed to introduce students to the scientific principles and correct methods for collecting blood samples. It provided training on the proper and safe use of laboratory tools and supplies required for blood collection, while also equipping participants with the skills to handle, store, and transport blood samples in compliance with laboratory safety requirements.
The course recommended further developing participants’ practical skills in blood sample collection, minimizing laboratory errors, strengthening adherence to safety, sterilization, and infection-prevention protocols, and ensuring both the quality of blood samples and the accuracy of laboratory results.
