The President of Al-Qadisiyah University inspects the renewable solar energy project at the College of Dentistry

The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Murad, inspected the renewable solar energy project in the outpatient department of the University’s College of Dentistry as one of the university’s sources of energy diversification.

He listened to a detailed explanation by the staff of the company implementing the project, where they confirmed, “The solar cell system helps in operating the full lighting of the outpatient department building of the dental department by 22%, and thus it will reduce annually about 15 tons of carbon emissions to achieve the university’s endeavor to be Of sustainable buildings.”

The University President praised these efforts, stressing that Al-Qadisiyah University seeks to implement this project in other university colleges in order to create a suitable university environment and reduce fossil fuels.

It is noteworthy that the principle of the work of solar cells is based on installing them by placing them directly under the sun’s rays by absorbing these rays and converting these rays into electrical energy that benefits humans in many purposes and fields. Thus, the sun’s rays act as an alternative to what the usual electrical generators do. When the sun rises, its rays contain… It contains a very large amount of energy. Here, solar panels attract this energy, as these panels contain many solar cells arranged next to each other.
