An awareness workshop at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on communicable diseases common to humans and animals

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held an awareness workshop entitled (Common communicable diseases between humans and animals) presented by Eng. Analyst: Ban Abbas Karim and Eng. Agricultural Engineer: Amal Jamil Youssef

The workshop aimed to clarify and explain the common diseases (Zoonosis) that affect humans and animals and how to confront them and classify them according to the pathogen and the importance of studying them. It also touched on the most common common parasitic diseases and types of common viruses and bacteria, in addition to clarifying the methods of their transmission between humans and animals.

The workshop recommended the need to focus on measures to prevent common diseases, including observing health conditions, especially general hygiene matters, and conducting preventive vaccinations for domestic animals and applying the conditions of public health and safety by breeders, farmers and craftsmen when dealing with animals, their products and waste
