An awareness seminar at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on the danger of the scourge of drugs
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held an awareness seminar entitled (The danger of the scourge of drugs and methods of their use) presented by Professor Aqil Abdul Abbas Jabbar from the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Diwaniyah and the seminar was managed by Dr. Jaafar Kazem Abdul
The seminar aimed to clarify the concept of drug addiction, its types and causes, the psychological, social and economic effects of drug addiction, methods of prevention and treatment, and to identify the methods and tools of drug use and ways to stay away from them and report drug cases through the hotline 178, as drugs have become a major challenge to societies as they affect the individual and families in a comprehensive manner and increase the severity of crimes and violence, thus leading to the disintegration of social relations and the deterioration of moral values
