A training course at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University dealt with the isolation of Candida albicans fungi from the mouths of children under one year of age
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazim Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled (Isolation of Candida albicans fungi from the mouths of children under one year of age) presented by M.M. Ruqayyah Hussein Abdul Muhammad, Asst.M. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Hussein, and M.M. Manar Hamed Mandeel
The course aimed to explain the methods of isolation and diagnosis of Candida albicans yeast from children under one year of age and to know the factors that cause it and its symptoms. The course also recommended not to give children any type of medication except after consulting a doctor and prescribing the appropriate treatment, which usually prescribes nystatin in the form of oral drops or gel placed on the tongue.
