Within the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, a scientific workshop was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on afforestation towards a sustainable environment and green cities

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a scientific workshop entitled (Afforestation towards a sustainable environment and green cities), in which Ms. Janan Abdul Abbas lectured

The workshop aimed to explain how to improve air quality, reduce pollution, enhance biodiversity, protect wildlife, reduce temperatures, confront the effects of climate change, improve the aesthetic landscape in cities and residential areas, and support the mental and physical health of society

The workshop recommended organizing awareness campaigns on the importance of afforestation, allocating green spaces in urban planning, choosing local plant species that are compatible with the environment, involving the local community and institutions in afforestation initiatives, and following up and maintaining trees to ensure their growth And its sustainability
