A scientific workshop at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on cosmetic fillings
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a workshop entitled (Cosmetic Fillings) in which dentist Hawra Karim, dentist Rehab Qusay, dentist Adhraa Shaker, and dentist Fatima Muhammad lectured
The workshop aimed to restore the shape and function of damaged teeth in an aesthetic and natural way. These fillings are usually used in cases of caries repair as they cover the gaps resulting from removing the caries, prevent the spread of damage to adjacent teeth, and explain how to improve the appearance by modifying the shape of the teeth or closing the spaces between the teeth, and repairing fractures or erosion in the event that the tooth is broken or eroded
The workshop recommended the necessity of choosing a professional and experienced specialist doctor in cosmetic fillings to ensure the best results, and maintaining dental hygiene regularly using a brush and toothpaste containing fluoride, and using floss to clean the areas between the teeth, and preferably water floss because it can reach Places that regular floss cannot reach, and stay away from solid foods by avoiding breaking ice cubes or chewing solid objects, as this may cause the filling to break
