Training course at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on the resistance of bacteria and fungi to antibiotics
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Habouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled (Resistance of bacteria and fungi to antibiotics) presented by Dr. Ali Sabri and Dr. Ruqayya Hussein Abdul Muhammad
The course aimed to explain the uses of drugs to prevent and treat bacterial and fungal infections, as well as explaining the mechanism of resistance acquired by some types of bacteria, which become resistant to antibiotics
The course recommended not to misuse antibiotics and overuse them without consulting a doctor and without a prescription, which leads to the emergence of antibiotic resistance faster, and never share remaining antibiotics or use them. Which leads to the weakness of the effectiveness of current antibiotics in treating bacterial infections
