A training course at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on preparing tissue sections

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled “Preparing Tissue Sections.” Lectured by Asst. Dr. Lama Hafez, Asst. Dr. Nour Mahmoud, Asst. Dr. Amir Abdul-Kadhim, and Asst. Dr. Sira Hamid Yasser, the course aimed to introduce the technique of tissue sectioning to prepare tissue slides, highlight the importance of diagnosing diseases through histology, review methods for taking samples from patients, and clarify the criteria to be followed in recording sample information.

The course recommended the necessity of preparing tissue sections, as they are an important and accurate method for diagnosing tissue diseases. Therefore, it must be adopted, and the concentrations of the solutions used in the experiment must be adhered to accurately and within the required timeframe to ensure the production of tissue sections suitable for study and diagnosis. Caution must be exercised when using the microtome.
