A training course was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on oral biofilms and their impact on oral and dental health.
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled “Oral Biofilms and Their Impact on Oral and Dental Health.” Lectured by Ms. Marwa Salman, Ms. Laith Hussein Hadi, Ms. Zahraa Rahim Abdul, and Ms. Zahraa Jawad Hamidi.
The course recommended proper and timely cleaning of teeth and the oral cavity as the most effective and accurate method for preventing tooth decay and gum disease. Brushing, interdental cleaning, and professional scaling are all mechanical methods necessary for regularly and effectively removing the biofilm layer of plaque.
