A workshop was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, on the topic of “Drug Hypersensitivity.”

The workshop was held under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad.

The workshop, held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, under the slogan “From Mesopotamia… Ideas Launch… Your Idea is Iraqi… Iraq Innovates,” was part of the Leadership and Creativity Week Festival (2025) and was titled “Drug Hypersensitivity.” Presenters included Assistant Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Hussein and Dr. Khitam Abdul-Sada Ali.

The workshop aimed to clarify the correct methods of using medications, explain unexpected drug allergies, their causes, and how to manage them, and describe the types of injuries resulting from drug hypersensitivity and methods of prevention. The course recommended against the indiscriminate use of medications, discontinuing medication use if any allergy symptoms appear, and conducting a thorough medical examination of medications identified as potential allergens before use.
