A faculty member from the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University achieves a significant Iraqi scientific milestone in one of the world’s top-ranked chemistry journals.

Under the supervision of Radwan Ali Katea (Assistant Lecturer at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University) and in collaboration with an Arab and international research team, an advanced scientific study has been published in the prestigious international journal *Coordination Chemistry Reviews*. The journal holds a distinguished global standing, boasting an Impact Factor of 25.6 and a CiteScore of 39.9. According to Scopus rankings, it holds the number one global position in the field of inorganic chemistry (out of 86 journals) and ranks fifth in general chemistry (out of 402 journals).
The study is titled: “Pd-containing UiO-66-NH₂ catalysts in organic synthesis.”
The research team focused on strategies for immobilizing palladium and controlling its distribution and chemical state. They also examined the role of various functional groups in enhancing catalyst efficiency, stability, and reusability, while minimizing metal loss during chemical reactions.
