Training Course on Oral Health Attitudes and Behaviors at the College of Dentistry, University of Al-Qadisiyah

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, University of Al-Qadisiyah, held a training course titled “Oral Health Attitudes and Behaviors: Understanding the Link,” presented by Faten Abdul-Sattar Jaber and Rania Falah Kadhim.
The course aimed to examine the relationship between oral health attitudes and their impact on actual dental preventive practices. It sought to evaluate how personal health attitudes directly shape daily oral hygiene routines, identify the underlying psychological barriers that prevent individuals from translating good intentions into consistent habits, and measure the statistical correlation between general awareness levels and adherence to dental preventive measures.
The course recommended implementing structured psychological questionnaires to assess behavioral shifts during routine dental check-ups, integrating behavioral motivation strategies into standard oral health education programs, and designing follow-up tools to monitor adherence, as well as a systematic evaluation framework to measure the transition from health awareness to consistent daily oral hygiene practices.
