A training course was held at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University on the clinical applications of lasers in cosmetic and dental health.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course entitled “Clinical Applications of Lasers in Cosmetic and Dental Health.” M.M. Zahraa Rahim Abdul, trainee dentist Adyan Basem Hadi, trainee dentist Bayan Falah Fadel, and trainee dentist Saja Mohsen Jaber.

The course aimed to introduce participants to the principle of laser operation in dentistry and its types used in therapeutic and cosmetic fields. It also aimed to explain the mechanism of laser interaction with hard and soft oral tissues and its effect on cells and tissues. It also aimed to introduce doctors and students to modern clinical techniques for using lasers in procedures such as teeth whitening, gum resection, and pigmentation treatment.

The course recommended encouraging doctors to acquire practical skills in handling various laser devices and providing modern training equipment within dental colleges and educational centers to implement the practical aspects of the course.
